The VX-264 also comes equipped with a high capacity lith-ion battery, designed to withstand longer shifts. UHF models come with 5 watts of power which is 1 watt more than most other brands offer. The analog radios have some benefits over digital, the main one being the signal loss signs. Vertex has recently announced the all new VX261 Radios.  These radios are the replacements for the older VX231 models. There have been some minor upgrades to these new units, first off the belt clip for the radios is now located on the back of the battery instead of the radio. This makes it easier for users to change out the clips when needed, no more hassling with screw down belt clips. All the clips are a slide on style similar to Motorola. The other advantage of the new VX261 radios is the 700mW audio, the older VX231 models had 500mW audio. What does this mean to you? It equates to a louder, volume radio. For more details contact us.
